Aluminium narrowboats of this length do not come up for sale very often, infact, there are very few at this length at all in the UK. The main benefit of aluminium is that you do not have to worry about rust or degrading steel, meaning that maintenance (and associated costs) is kept to a minimum. Blacking is only carried out if needed for cosmetic purposes only.
Rainbow is fitted out in a way that makes her perfect for extended cruising or full time live on board use for two people in comfort.
To maintain a cosy cabin all year round, a Webasto diesel fired central heating system provides the background warmth, with the Squirrel stove giving that toe toasting comfort that only a solid fuel stove can provide.
The cook is well catered for with a large combined fridge and freezer, eye level oven and grill, two burner hob and there is even a microwave. When meal time is finished you can simply put everything in the dishwasher.
Whilst cruising or tied up in out of the way places, the Victron Multiplus inverter charger can provide up to 3kW of power, with the battery bank (new Nov 21) being topped up by the 600W solar panels, thus reducing the need to run the engine.
